deck. We found Josue and Francisco off of a Craigslist business listing/post. They were quick to respond to our inquiry and showed up on time to our estimate appointment. They were easy to communicate with (english or spanish) and their answers to our questions were very thoughtful and thorough. They asked all the appropriate questions you would expect from an experienced outfit, and walked us through a few options we would have based on our situation. They took the time to examine the yard, take measurements, and write down notes about our yard, requests, and expectations. They left us with timelines, set expectations concerning their process and workflow, and an overall feeling of satisfaction.

In quick timing they responded both by phone, text, and email their proposals/estimates, and we had all the information in writing, itemized, so that we could take the next steps at comparing their bid and making an informed decision. Their bid was competitive amongst 5-6 other outfits, large and small.

They began work on the date agreed upon, showing up every day, on time or earlier than expected. I was fortunate enough to be present to oversee the progress a few days during the project, and witnessed them working tirelessly, competently, with focus and intention. They kept the working area neat, and left every day clean and organized for the next. They ALWAYS contacted me with questions and options, instead of blindly executing things that needed to be redone or undone. This was very important to us in hindsight, and very refreshing compared to our experience with the rest of the remodel. Lunch and breaks were standard or quick, no chatter or unnecessary noise. We had some requests mid project and they obliged, not before submitting and confirming change orders.

The project finished ON TIME and we were left with a beautiful new wooden deck executed to spec by both our standards and by city building codes. A year after the deck was completed everything looks as if it was just built. No issues, no problems.

We actually are still in communication, as we have questions and seek advice often. I have recommended them to my GC as a great subcontractor to have on the roster, and would HIGHLY recommend them to any home owner looking for an honest, hardworking, no-frills, family owned and operated business.
